Gretchen Hernandez, Director Prior to joining the Prospect Family Support Center, Gretchen was the Assistant Director of Programs at a child advocacy agency in Nassau County. There, she facilitated a Sex Abuse Multidisciplinary Team, was responsible for the daily operations of the Child Advocacy Center, and supervised the Coordination Treatment Team, a group of professionals that coordinated cases for Child Protective Services in the areas of substance abuse and sexual abuse. Gretchen began her career in the field of child abuse and neglect with the New York City Administration for Children Services as a Child Protective Specialist.
Briana Whitaker, Assistant Director Briana graduated from Fairleigh Dickerson University in 2004. Before joining PFSC, she worked for a community based organization where she started as a recruiter-trainer and was later promoted to Family Counselor Supervisor.
Narcisa Paez, Child Support Coordinator Narcisa has an educational background in Sociology and Health and Human Services from the University of Buffalo. She has always had an interest in working with families in crisis and considers herself to be a great advocate for children's welfare. In the future, Narcisa plans to continue her education in the field of social work and counseling.
Monserrate Asencio, Child Care Provider Monserrate has been with Homes for the Homeless as a Child Care Provider for the past eleven years. During this time, she has gained experience working with numerous children and families in crisis. Monserrate is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Erica Banks, Child Care Provider Erica has over 10 years of child care experience. Prior to working at the Prospect Family Support Center, Erica was a teacher's assistant at a day school. In Fall 2008, she will continue her education at Mercy College, in pursuit of a BS in Child Psychology.
Doris Camacho, Child Care Provider Doris' educational background is in Early Childhood Education, and she has been working with children for the past twelve years. Prior to working at the Prospect Family Support Center, Doris lived in Puerto Rico for six year, where she worked as a Parent Coordinator.
Nereida Nunez, Child Care Provider Nereida studied Early Childhood Education for two years at Hostos Community College. She has seven years experience working with children as a School Aide and Home Child Care Provider.
